Alex began playing piano at age 8. He has performed at numerous recitals, master classes and benefit concerts. He won many prestigious competitions such as MTAC Festival, Southern California Junior Bach Festival, and Southwestern Youth Music Festival. Alex has successfully completed the CM advanced level piano with honors and is looking forward to continuing and expanding his study of music. In his spare time, Alex loves to play with his Jack Russell Terrier, Rascal, target shooting, and swimming.
Katherine began playing violin at age 9. Together with her twin brother Kevin, Katherine is a member of SMHS Symphony Orchestra and PSYCO, and the Concert Mistress of PYSO for 2015-2016. She is the first place winner of the Satori Strings Contest. (2012 and 2013) Katherine is also an accomplished ballet dancer and enjoys contemporary, and hip hop dance as well.
Kevin has been playing cello since 8. He is a member of San Marino High School Symphony Orchestra, Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Pasadena Summer Youth Chamber Orchestra. He is the first place winner of the Satori Strings Contest. (2014) Other than cello playing, Kevin takes pride in his ability to solve the Rubik's cube. He can complete a 3x3 in less than a minute.
